Our listeners ages 18+ over-index for listening to music while celebrating Memorial Day (113 index), and 42% of Pandora listeners 18+ plan to celebrate. Among those celebrating, 47% plan to host or attend a party, and 45% say they will listen to music.

Fire up those grills and lather on the sunscreen; Independence Day festivities last all day, and the summer soundtracks play right along with them, even after the sun goes down (hitting pause only for fireworks). Independence Day had a 36% increase in station adds compared to other Tuesdays in July, and the actual day of Independence Day saw 66% more station adds than the average Tuesday in all of 2023. This day was also the sixth for most daily station adds in 2023—49% more than the daily average in 2023.
