Get up and be yourself.
“Don't overthink. You know, I actually woke up at 3:00 in the morning, and was over thinking about 15 things from this week. And I told myself I was like, ‘What are you doing?’ Stop overthinking. Everything is fine... Just get up, be yourself, do your job. And that's what you have to do...” – Katy Hendricks
Do what you enjoy.
“Keep doing what you do. Keep doing what you enjoy. If you have a job and you love 75% of it, but 25% of it you have concerns about, go ahead and have that conversation with leadership because chances are they're going to be able to fix it, and maybe they just didn't know.” – Katy Hendricks
Always speak up.
“Always believe in yourself. Always speak up. There have been multiple points throughout my career where I was 23, 24, 27, 28, and in some cases, a woman would have not said something. Whether it was a maternity leave policy or a way that somebody treated you that was inappropriate. I just always found [it's important to] be transparent, be honest. Be respectful when you [do], of course. But don't just sit by...” – Katy Hendricks
